What we do
Public beaches, boat ramps and riverbanks host thousands of community events every year: festivals, ceremonies, regattas, fishing days, picnics. Most leave the shore a little different than they found it. We organise small volunteer crews that come back afterwards and put it right: litter, flowers and decorations, food waste, tangled line, anything that does not belong in the water or on the bank.
We work quietly and we work with people. If a community already cleans up after its own event, we are glad to send extra hands. If nobody does, we take it on.
How it works
- Tell us where and when a gathering takes place near public water.
- We schedule a crew for the day after, or the next dry day.
- The crew collects and bags what was left, sorts anything that can be composted or recycled, and carries the rest out. Nothing is pulled from the water beyond what a person can reach safely from the bank.
- We leave the site as it was before the event, and we keep no record of who attended.
Who we are
A small group of volunteers who like clean water and long walks along it. We are not affiliated with any religious, political or commercial organisation, we do not fundraise, and we do not publish photographs of events or the people at them.
